  1. OnePlaceDocs addin keeps disappearing from office ribbon

    Hi Support,

    We have a very common issue with our users where the oneplacedoc addin will disappear out of the users outlook/word/excel/powerpoint 2013 and I will have to get them to go into the COM add-ins to readd the add-in. Why does this keep happening and is there a permanent solution to this?

  2. Click to activate license button then 0x80070005

    Hi

    A user in our organisation has an issue with OnePlaceDocs and I do not understand why.

    When he opens OnePlaceDocs a message "Click to activate license" is displayed, and when we click on it, we have an error (then we click on "Try license check again", and it's ok).

    I do not understand why we have this, because as you can see on my screenshot (sorry I greyed the confidential favourites), the user already has favourite in OnePlace docs, so the license is activate yet.

    Could you please explain why we have this ? We have few other users…

  3. Can a web application URL be added to OnePlaceDocs such that the tree structure shows all the site collections within it?

    Hello, we are testing a trial version of OnePlaceDocs and OnePlaceMail.

    Is there a way to add an url to a sharepoint web application in "Click to Add SharePoint Connection" such that it shows all the site collections within the web app in the OnePlaceDocs tree structure?

    Right now, if I add the web app url, it shows only the root site and its contents. Otherwise I'll have to add all the site collections manually.

  4. Anomalous Microsoft Word error (no code)

    Has any other user had a situation where everything is working fine and then the user gets a Microsoft Word error stating that the file cannot be opened? There is no error code given and if the computer is rebooted, then everything works fine again for awhile until the error appears again. No error / event logs in Word.

  5. Acrobat DC support?

    For some reason, we are unable to get the one place solution ribbon to appear in acrobat DC. It worked great in acrobat 10, but there is no trace of it in DC. The release list for 7.1 said that it was supported and we are currently on 7.4. How do you configure acrobat DC to work with oneplacesolutions?

  6. Error during opening office packets

    Hi,

    We use the OnePlaceMAilSolutions; OnePlaceDocs and OnePlaceMail.

    I already tried to reinstall the application and repair office components. We use the OnePlaceSolutions 7.3.3 and .NET framework 4.6.1

  7. Multiple application instances when opening additional files

    Is there a way for users to open an office file into a current application session rather than OnePlaceDocs open a new application session?

    For example if a user opens two Excel files from OnePlaceDocs, two separate Excel sessions are started.

  8. Bluebeam Plugin

    There are a lot users within our organization that use Bluebeam as their preferred PDF editor. The one downside is the lack of a OnePlaceDocs plugin. Is there any way to add the plugin to Bluebeam?

  9. error loading folders - click for details ==> 500 internal server error

  10. "Search" SharePoint for document name when site is chosen and fill out metadata

    When you want to re-save or update an file that is already in sharepoint with OPS you have to tagg the document all over. OPS should silently search the site for "name already exist" and then add the metadata already lying on the document that has the same name for fast and easy to make a new version.

  11. How do I hide sharepoint libraries / lists in a oneplace connection?

    New to using OnePlace. My role is as an end user support person from an information management perspective not IT.

    When my users add a connection to sharepoint via oneplacedoc explorer they can see libraries and lists that are not visible to them when in sharepoint. (they are lists and libraries that are only accessed via the Site Contents which end users do not have access to.)

    From OnePlace, in settings > navigation I have checked the Hide System Lists and Libraries box and restarted the application but these lists and libraries are still visible.

    My users are not able…

  12. Exception from reading manifest from file (VSTO)

    Hi all,

    After installing OnePlace Solutions (7.3) on newly configured laptops, we now get a strange error when opening Outlook, Word, Excel:

    our Microsoft .Net framework is 4.6.

    What we also noticed is that newly configured laptops don't get following registry entries (yellow):

  13. Import old emails into SharePoint with new OnePlace column data.

    How do you import old emails saved in sharepoint to include the OnePLace columns? I assume there is no automated way to do this and you have to re-import, but I tried using the OPD explorer but the columns did not get filled in.

  15. Button translation

    Hi,

    I have installed OPM 7.2 on my pc before deploying to 600 users, and I work on the config_update.xml file.

    I saw that we could translate few buttons like "Save to sharepoint" (Home_SaveToSharePoint) for Excel/Word/Powerpoint, but I would like to translate the "Explore and Open" button too but I do not find the information.

    Could you please explain me how to translate the "Explore and Open" button for Excel/Word/Powerpoint ?

    And also the "Explore" button in Outlook ?

  16. Save to SharePoint overwrites existing SharePoint document when given a new name

    Hi,

    We open a (Word) document named "Meetingreport.docx" with the OnePlaceDocs explorer, and we edit this document by adding some text.

    We push on the "save to SharePoint" button, and give this document a new name (title AND name) "Meetingreport2.docx". Then the newly added text is added in both files "Meetingreport.docx" AND "Meetingreport2.docx".

    We constantly have to downgrade the version of the first document to keep things right.

    Is it something we do wrong, or is it a program issue?

  17. Best Location for Data File

    I have read the article recommending a "local user profile data file" here http://www.oneplacesolutions.com/help/7.1/index.html#!Modules/5/Documents/oneplacemailsettings.htm but am just wondering if there is a full list anywhere of the pros and cons? We currently are storing in the "roaming" profile which is a location on the network. We are not a Citrix TS environment though we have a Terminal Server for remote access which we have to accommodate.

    Are there any migration issues in changing this setting and will the oneplacemail.pst file be updated from the config files no matter what it's location? Will a local config allow users to access OnePlaeMail…

  18. Users complain about "Person or Group" field value entry in OnePlace

    I have had some users complain that the "person or group" fields in OnePlace don't work the same way that they do when you're in SharePoint, i.e. a box doesn't drop down with suggestions. Is there any way this could be added to make it more user friendly? They either have to click on the book icon to search for a user, or type the name in to validate it, before saving.

  19. Change onceplace docs 7.2 install options.

    I am installing oneplace docs 7.2 via the msi. I would like it to not install the desktop icon or set itself to autorun on startup. Are there install switches I can use? Thanks.

  20. Selecting Multiple Termstore (Managed Metadata) Values

    I am currently uploading some documents from our old Shared Drive for one of our teams, and noticed we have to go back in and out each time we want to select a new value.

    When you're in SharePoint, selecting a termstore value has both "Select" and "OK" as options, so you can select as many as you like before clicking "OK". In OnePlace, the "Select" option acts the same as the "OK" button in SharePoint. I tried using the Ctrl button on my keyboard to see if that worked, but it didn't (i.e. it un-selected the one I had…
