Attachments bigger than 35mb - No prompt to save to Sharepoint
OnePlaceMail does not prompt to save a file attachment that's greater than 35mb. Is this a limitation with the product?
Instead the standard Outlook message : "The file you're attaching is bigger than the server allows." is displayed.

  Hi Dan
Thanks for the clarification. The Outlook prompt appears as I am attaching the file, therefore OnePlaceMail is unable to prompt to send to SharePoint, as the attachment is not successfully added to the email.
Kind regards
Elissa

  Elissa,
That's not exactly how we are trying to insert a link. Were trying to "attach a file" from the local computer, not insert a link to a file that already exists in Sharepoint. If attaching a file below 35mb, OnPlaceMail will prompt asking if you would like to save the file to Sharepoint. If the file is greater than >35mb the Outlook message : "The file you're attaching is bigger than the server allows." is displayed.

  Hi Dan
Apologies for the delay. I was able to test this in our test enviornment with a large file (38MB) saved in a 365 SharePoint location. I was able to use the 'Insert as a link' in an email

To further troubleshoot, could you please enable OnePlaceMail logging (via OnePlaceMail Settings -->Outlook -> Enable Application Logging (Support). Please try to carry out those steps and send the log file to me at mailto:support@scinaptic.com
Kind regards

This is what we are doing but it only works for files < 35mb : http://www.scinaptic.com/support/0060.html?utm_source=oneplacemail&utm_medium=software&utm_campaign=oneplacemail+express+6.5&utm_content=settings

  Elissa,
Thanks for your reply. Your suggestion works as a work around but it doesn't really help in this instance.
OnePlaceMail prompts asking if you would like to save an attachment that is being attached to an email into SharePoint. This works great for attachments that are less than 35mb in size. But for anything over 35mb OnePlaceMail doesn't prompt to save into SharePoint, instead the Outlook message : "The file you're attaching is bigger than the server allows." is displayed.
This message is related to the maximum Office 365 email attachment size of 35mb. We were hoping that OnePlaceMail might help us to work around this by prompting to save an attachment that is over 35mb into SharePoint and then sending a link to the file instead.
Ultimately this would simplify the process of sending a large file attachment as a link and would not rely on the end user having to save a file into SharePoint prior to sending the email.

  Hi Daniel
This appears to be an Outlook issue.
Could you please try to save the attachment to your PC and upload via right click "Send to".. SharePoint.
Kind regards
Elissa
