    Hi

To enable Teams for the OnePlaceMail app, -- please select "Settings" in the app. Under Optional Features, there should be a link stating "I'm an Admin, lets do it".

Once this link has been selected, you can select "Accept".

This will enable the ability to save to teams for all users in the tenant.

If you do not see this option, and are an administrator please let me know.

    Thanks

Hi this issue has since been resolved.

When the organisation has opted in, this feature should be available for all users in the tenant.

Please don't hesitate to get in touch should you have any further queries.

    Thanks

    Hi There

Thanks for the inquiry and the image.
An administrator can opt-in on behalf of all users in your organization.

To do so, please ask your admin to select an email to be saved, select OnePlaceMail and select the three bars on the top right hand side.

Select "Settings" Under Optional features, here a link will appear to allow your admin to opt in and select "Accept".

Users will then be able to save emails to a Microsoft Teams channel.

Please let me know how you go.

    Kind regards

    Hi All

Just a note on the last point of this item -- "It should allow to apply custom metadata in the destination library".

To update - we're excited to advise that additional columns are now available when saving to a library using the OnePlaceMail for Outlook app.

    thanks!

    Hi there

I would like to take the opportunity to clarify that the OnePlace Mail is not part of Microsoft Office. We work on developing solutions to resolve some of the points raised in this topic, and close some of the gaps with working between Outlook and SharePoint.

We are working on bringing some awesome enhancements to the addin and will update the thread as soon as these are available.

    Kind regards

    Hi there

We've been busy working on bringing the additional metadata columns to the save process. You should see some columns now available when saving to locations in SharePoint.

    Thanks

    Hi there,

OnePlaceMail includes site columns that we recommend you add to your SharePoint environment as site columns / add email content type.
When this is added - and an email is saved to SharePoint using OnePlaceMail, we will capture the email attributes (To, From, Subject etc) and promote these to columns

As part of these site columns, there are two additonal columns - which capture the original created and last modified date of a file.

To install the email columns - please select the following link: https://www.oneplacesolutions.com/help/7.8/installation/email_column_pnp.htm

I hope the above helps, please let me know if you would like further information

    thanks

    Hey there
    Thank for getting in touch.

have you added site columns to the document library? You should be able to show the "Created" column to the document library, to see when the email was created in SharePoint.
If you have added our columns, you will also be able to show the Email Sent or Email Received date, which captures the actual email date.

Please let me know if you'd like some further information

    Kind regards

    Thanks Framey for your comments

"Or have the ability to append date and time to attachments, similar to the functionality currently present for emails." -

If you have applied the OnePlaceMail site columns - two additional columns named "Document Modified Saved" and "Document Created Saved" are included. When these are avaliable on the document library and the attachment is saved via OnePlaceMail - the original date of the document is promoted to a column.
If you would like further information, please contact us at support@oneplacesolutions.com

    Thanks

    Hi Framey
Thanks for this feedback. The upload notification setting was modified when we moved to the background upload process.

The notifications in the upload status will remain visible until the Upload Status button is selected, or for a period of 7 days. The number of days can be modified via the OnePlaceLive Configuration profile to retain a longer (or shorter) period of transactions.

At this time there is no way to turn back on the dialogue box to appear if there has been a failed save to SharePoint. However I have added these comments to be considered by our product team, and will update this thread with any relevant information.

    Kind regards

    Elissa

Thanks for the feedback. I have been able to reproduce this for a subfolder (contents are returned when a document library has a # in its name).

We will review this issue and update this thread once there is any change.

    Hi Mike

    Thanks for your comment.
    Our software allows you to:
    - Browse through your Office 365 SharePoint tenant (only the places the user has access to )
    - Search SharePoint site collections and sites that you as a user have access to
    - Collects an email from exchange online and saves it to a selected location in SharePoint
    - Set the relevant column data to the email now saved to the location
    - Update exchange and the email to say that it has been saved to SharePoint, and assigns a "Transferred to SharePoint" category

All of these things require us access to Exchange, SharePoint and the Microsoft Graph, and the consent information we have asked for allows us to complete the save process. These don't require admin to approve, and as such are limited to the user access rights.

    Kind regards

    Elissa

As for the access to the platform, it is happening as you browse or search SharePoint within or app, and then used after you click the save button to collect the email from Exchange, and store it within SharePoint and save the corresponding column information.

    Hi Peter

Thanks for your inquiry - column defaults can be set in SharePoint. Once they are set there, OnePlaceMail should show these in the Save to SharePoint dialogue box.

If this is not happening, please feel free to email support@oneplacesolutions.com for further assistance.

    Kind regards,

    Elissa
