Modifying the filename and visibility of email attributes
Hi, I have tried to rename the filename using
"filenameMethod value="senton sendername title" action="insert" within the "outlook" tags in the config file. However it is still using the default filename with the hashtag. Is there any means of checking what could be going wrong. I am using the 30 day trial to understand what features are available. We use Office 2007 currently with Sharepoint 2010.
I am also wondering, when using a Custom Mapping List, is it normal/expected for the fields mentioned in that custom list to stop showing up in the "OnePlaceMail - Save to Sharepoint" dialog box when dragging and dropping.

Hi Parul,
I'm glad to let you know Admin Guide has been fixed.
Thank you.

Hi Parul,
thanks for reporting the typo – we'll update our Admin Guide shortly.
Yes, currently there are only three ways of filename format. I'd recommend you to use the "Title" field which contains whole email subject.
Hope this will help.

Also, could I just confirm, we can only modify the format of the subjectline in the 3 ways outlined in the Admin Guide?
So something like:
title - sendername - senton
would not work?

Thanks for your reply. I later realised that I was missing the underscores in "senton sendername title" - they appear to be missing in the Admin Guide hence the confusion.

Hi Parul,
thank you for your questions.
Please follow the section "Customizing the email filename format" in the updated Admin guide
or use this file as example. Rename it to config_update.xml, put into %AppData%\Scinaptic\OnePlaceMail and restart Outlook.
Hope this will help.
Regarding your second question, this was done intentionally to prevent users from changing sensitive email metadata and retain its integrity from the Records point of view.
Hope this clarifies. Please update this topic if you have any questions, I'll be happy to help you. Thank you.
