Is there a way to open .dwg (AutoCAD) documents through OnePlaceDocs?
Is there a way to open .dwg (AutoCAD) documents through OnePlaceDocs?
Currently it tries to open in SharePoint which downloads the document.
I've tried 'Open with' but it only gives SharePoint as an option.
If it's not possible that's fine, I'd just like to know.Cheers

make it easier to input dates into the metadata
It seems odd that dates are so cumbersome in a data entry and management tool. Even the most basic websites and applications are able to automatically convert "070123" into "07/01/2023", yet OPD requires you to either use the calendar tool (which is only efficient if the date you need is close to today) or use the mouse or arrow keys to select the individual section that needs to be changed (which is faster than the calendar, but still clunky and counterintuitive compared to just...typing).
It would be great to have the ability to tab/shift+tab back and forth between the day/month/year,…

create a dark theme mode for OnePlaceDocs.
I use OnePlaceDocs for browsing team files saved online and as a complement to Windows Explorer and Office. All of my software that offers the option, I have set to "dark" mode. This option greatly alleviates visual strain after being in front of a screen for a long time. It would be great to have this option in OnePlaceDocs so it matches the other apps that I complement its use with.

Add Document Libraries as Connections, not just Sites
Currently, you are only able to add sites as Connections.
However, there are instances that a user only has permissions to library within a site and would want to add the library as a Connection for ease of access.1 vote -
Button 'Email as Attachment' and 'Email as Link'
Similar to the OnePlace Mail app, add a button 'Email as Attachment' and 'Email as Link' to OnePlaceDocs which opens the Default Program for mail (Outlook) and attaches the selected document as Link or Attachment.

64 bit Adobe Reader/Acrobat add-in support
Currently the OnePlaceDocs add-in only supports the 32 bit Adobe Reader/Acrobat clients. This is an enhancement request for 64 bit support.

Provide ability to rename files on a Copy to or Move to operation
It would be great to have the ability to rename files on a 'Copy to' or 'Move to' operation, especially if saving a copy of a file to the same location (where the filename needs to be different)
In SharePoint Modern experience when copying a file to the same location a '1' is appended at the end of the filename of the copied email (to make the filename different). In SharePoint classic experience, this does offer the ability to rename a file on a Copy operation.

Is there a way to set a standard view for the metadata between libraries
How would I set a standard Metadata view across multiple libaries? We have setup some new libraries that users are saying that when they go to upload a document, the metadata fields are not in the same order. Is there a way to standardise this across libraries?
See below screenshot for additional information

Allow more Excel file types to be saved through OnePlaceDocs
Allow more file types to be saved through OnePlaceDocs. I work primarily with XLSB files, but OnePlaceDocs only allows saving XLSX and XLSM files. I could work around this by saving through SharePoint, but this defeats the purpose of having OnePlaceDocs within Excel.

The selected view could not be shown due to SharePoint throttling
Warning: The selected view could not be shown due to SharePoint throttling. Reverted to the "Explorer View" in order to show content.
We have an email library setup for OPM. For some folders (customer or supplier) the number of emails saved are more than 5,000 however we understand the throttling issue and created many different views (for example last 1 year emails only) so that lower number of emails can be seen in the view. We even made "OPMView01Year" with specific columns. However when we open the OPM in outlook and go to that folder, instead of bringing the result…

OnePlaceMail Problem with Arabic characters
When a user saves an email (which has Arabic characters in its subject, then it is not saved correctly by OPM (Desktop) in SharePoint. Please see the attached screen-shot. I sent an email separately with the example file of an email, which has Arabic characters in its subject).

Reliability of previews
Often, there are errors appearing when trying to preview PDFs (unrelated to file size). It would be good to have the previewer working more reliably.
Also can we have better previewing of Excel files.1 vote -
Make views editable in OnePlaceDocs
It would be great to make some minor changes in views directly from OnePlaceDocs (showing missing column, hiding column, changing order of columns)

OnePlaceDocs:open files with the system default handler
OnePlaceDocs: open files with the system default handler based on file type (eg, if your system has Adobe Reader DC as it’s default PDF handler, then you would like OnePlaceDocs to always try to use that). The default is currently to try and do what SharePoint wants (if the override in CommonConfigLocal.xml is not present of course).
Now users have to change the open with setting for pdf to Adobe reader every day becauce the commonconfiglocal.xml is flushes because of roaming profile / UPS on RDS.
