How to open links to emails in Outlook

When I receive an email including a link to our sharepoint site it never opens the file but first starts the Internet explorer. Is there a way to change that? Like opening links to emails directly with oneplacemail in outlook, as well as other files?

    Hi Ilia,

    Many tanks! I checked the link, but we're using Office 365. According the KB the powers hell cant't be used with it :(

    Hi Florian,

    thank you for your question.

    There is no way to change this behaviour, because all links starting with 'http' are handled by your default browser (Internet Explorer).

    Please refer to this article http://www.scinaptic.com/support/0012.html

    Solutions from it will make 'Open' button available for .msg files in the 'File Download' IE dialog.

    Thus after clicking a link to an email saved on SharePoint you'll have an option to open it (in Outlook) instead of saving to your hard drive.
