Lookup Columns - Viewing More Fields in Copy to Sharepoint
Hello-
I am using the email capture with great success.
I have a bunch of look up columns that when I copy an email prompt correctly for information. Works great.
However I have a lookup Column called "Contact". I have the typical fields first name, last name etc... When I go to copy an email, it is showing the first name column only. (Which it should the way I have it set up) How can I display first name and last name in the lookup field column from OnePlaceMail.
Hope I am explaining correctly.
Thanks,
Rob

Hi Robert,
thank you for your question and update.
As SharePoint displays only single column value in this field OnePlaceMail can only display the same.
If you have this table (with company/contact and other columns) in some external DB, you may use SharePoint BCS to connect to it. In this case you’ll be able to see the values from several columns (depending on BCS settings) as in SharePoint as in OnePlaceMail.
Hope this will help. Please update the topic if you have any questions. Thank you.

Update:
I figured out the main part. It was more of Sharepoint issue, just created a calculated column.
I think my issue is more that I can't use a lookup field in a calculated column. The contact is associated with a "company", would love to see the company name involved when I "Copy to Sharepoint".
Thanks,
Rob
