  1. Metadata column width needs to be fixed

    If the width of metadata columns is adjusted for comfortable work and reading then all is collapsed back to very narrow defaults after the click of refresh button.
    It would be great to get keeping user settings fixed.

  2. Blocked Shutdown

    OnePlace Document Explorer blocks the Windows Restart/Shutdown process, so the computer displays "Restarting" for a good 5-10 mins plus before actually rebooting. If I disable the Document Explorer from Startup, the shutdown/restart process works fine. I re-enable Document Explorer in Startup and the issue returns. I have updated to the latest version and the problem still exists.

  3. I am getting the following error suddenly trying to use the Office 2013 Lite version of OnePlaceMail.

    An error has occurred saving file to Sharepoint.

    Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

    Application: OnePlaceMail2013
    Method: Void SaveToSharePointButtonClick(Scinaptic.OnePlaceMail.API.Core.OPMRecentLocation, Scinaptic.OnePlaceMail.API.Core.UploadFilingTrigger)
    Stack Trace: at FileToWSSOutlookAddIn.ThisAddIn.SaveToSharePointButton
    Click(OPMRecentLocation copyToRecentLocation, UploadFilingTrigger trigger)

  6. Intermittent 503 error when using OnePlaceMail App or OnePlace Solutions Desktop with Office 365

    Due to the current situation with COVID-19 and many people now working remotely, some Microsoft services are throttling to handle the extra load.
    This can result in a ‘503’ (Service Unavailable/Server Too Busy) is one of the errors that may appear when this occurs.

    Due to this, the 503 error may also appear intermittently when using the OnePlaceMail App as well as OnePlaceMail & OnePlaceDocs Desktop with Office 365.

    We have logged this with Microsoft Support and encourage users experiencing this to do the same via their tenant in Central Administration

  8. OnePlace Solutions Server Components

    OnePlace Solutions server Components should be configuration.

    As discussed with Adrian Zurcher, The FileToWSS call (/vtibin/FileToWSS.asmx), is to check if you have server components installed. In some scenarios (when the SharePoint environment has external data/BCS columns), users of OnePlaceMail would like to see these external columns. However, Marsh doesn’t have any BCS columns so therefore doesn’t require server components to be installed, hence you receive 404 error (file not found) when making FiletoWSS call.

    Please note, this is just a check to see if the server component is installed on your SharePoint site and is a normal behaviour…

  9. Default Settings when uploading Existing File to SharePoint

    When you copy a file to SharePoint there is the option to Overwrite Existing Files. In addition you can right-click an existing file to use the property values from the existing file as defaults for the uploaded file.

    In many use cases we will have a scenario where we receive an updated copy of an existing file and will want to upload this to create a new version that inherits the existing property values. Is it possible to set this action as the default when the folder selected for upload contains a file with the same name?

  10. Installing the Legal Matter Management profile

    I've installed the site collection and the email columns, etc. (I think) as required by the installation guide but when I create a Legal Matter Management solution profile there doesn't seem to be a place for creating Client or Matter lists. I've attached a screenshot to show what I see. How should I proceed?

  11. OPM Download Feature - Insert from SharePoint - BackGround Downloading

    OPM Download Feature is heavily used by our team. We are looking for some improvement in this feature because currently users are not comfortable with this long running download time and it was impacted our application usages.
    Below are the steps:-
    • Go to outlook  open new email window  click on “Insert from SharePoint”
    • Search the site  open the folder  select the documents & email  click on “Insert as Attachment”

  13. Folder names to support the same characters as SharePoint

    SharePoint allows more characters than OnePlace does, eg #

    Currently having a hash (#) character in a folder name works fine in SharePoint but when trying to view the contents in OnePlace, it doesn't display the contents of the folder.

  16. OnePlaceMail / OnePlaceDocs & O365 return intermittent '429' error

    We are currently aware of an intermittent issue relating to saving/browsing libraries via OnePlaceMail & OnePlaceDocs, with O365.

    Some customers have reported an intermittent error stating "The Remote server returned an error (429).

    We are working to resolve this issue as soon as possible and are currently in discussion with Microsoft.

    This item will be updated as soon as possible.

    Microsoft are poised to release a security feature in their next Office update that will prevent opening potentially malicious emails. This release prevented OnePlaceMail from previewing email files stored in SharePoint, OnePlace Solutions identified this issue and quickly created a fix, enabling you to see a preview of emails while retaining the new levels of increased security.
