    Hi Billy

Thank you for getting in touch.

If the load behaviour for the addin is set to 3, other possible issues may be that the config.xml file has an issue or a pre-requisite needs to be updated.

If you do not recieve any error message, the following KB may assist in forcing an error to appear, which can assist in identifying the issue

    Hi Bryan

Please download the MSI for the version of Office installed on the machine. If you have Office 2010 - please download this version.

Depending on your license key, there is no need to upgrade the license. Any keys issued for R7.0 through to R7.4 will be compatible with this version.

If you have an original R6.x key - then a new key will need to be issued. If you're not sure, please take a screenshot of your license key from the SharePoint list and email us at support at oneplacesolutions.com

Also, if you are installing via msi, please ensure that the pre-requisites are installed on the machine prior - these can be found here

    Kind regards

    Hi Max

We would recommend using OnePlaceLive configuration Profile service.

This is a free service available for all OnePlaceMail and OnePlaceDocs customers.

Using OnePlace Live Configuration Profile service (available with R7.4) you are able to create profiles for different parts of your organisation, and deliver site collections that are relevant to them.

Please find some further information here:

    http://www.oneplacesolutions.com/help/7.4/ops/confservice/configurationservice.htm

Also, please feel free to send an email to support at oneplacesolutions.com and we will be happy to assist.

    Kind regards

Unfortunately this is not possible, you can add the root site, and/or add a SharePoint connection to resolve to the site... not the entire web application.

    Hi Murray,

Thanks for your feedback. Currently, it is not possible to strip specific terms from the name.

If you are seeking to view the saved emails in the library, we would suggest adding the Conversation to the default view. This will show the emails by conversation, rather than the subject. This does not include the FW, or RE in the subject:

Are you creating your own site columns, and seeking to map from the OnePlaceMail columns to these?

    Thank you for the clarification.

    Can you please confirm

    1. You have named the From Column exactly as detailed in our instructions, ie EmFrom, EmTo

    2. You have added these columns to the document library where you are uploading.

    Hi Steve

You need to create a list, rather than a library with the custom column mapping. Please refer to our http://www.scinaptic.com/support/0085.html , page 36 for further instructions.

Please also ensure you create columns in your document library with these columns, and add the URL to the OnePlaceMail Settings, Save tab in Outlook

Please let me know if you have any further issues.

    Hi M

Thank you for your inquiry and getting in touch.

I do recall our previous conversations around the upgrade process. Thank you for your feedback.

All our our Lite users would have received an email advising that R7.4 is now available.

This email should contain a link to download R7.4 Lite directly (there is no requirement to evaluate the full product).

You can install the setup.exe, without uninstalling the previous version. After restarting Outlook, the new version will be installed.

We are continually working to improve the process to upgrade, and appreciate your feedback.

Please let me know if you have not received the email, and/or are not able to download directly from the email.

    Kind regards

    Hi Thomas

    Thank you for this suggestion.

Currently, you are able to right click on a file from C drive or network directory and select "Send To --> SharePoint".

Our 'Save to SharePoint' dialogue box will appear, to allow you to save the file to SharePoint.

I hope this helps in the meantime!

    Hi Simon

    Thanks for your inquiry.

Can you please confirm the setting the default data location that is selected in OnePlaceMail Settings | Outlook | General tab?

We do use %appdata% to set the location, however the default setting is %appdata%\local\OnePlaceSolutions.

If you are using roaming profiles, you should select the 2nd option in the OnePlaceMail settings.

    Hi All

I just wanted to update this thread, with some new features that go towards achieving this feature request.

Since this thread was created, we have included some enhancements, that have improved the 'Save to SharePoint' process.

    These are:

    1. Suggested Locations.

OnePlaceMail will now be able to identify and suggest locations within your SharePoint environment on where you might want to store an email.

    2. Email Tracking

Available with OnePlaceLive. Used in conjunction with OnePlaceMail, this feature allows the mail in your inbox to be automatically tagged, when another team member saves an email to SharePoint...so you now automatically know what has been saved to SharePoint, and what is yet to be saved.

As these enhancements do not entirely address the original post, I will leave this thread open for further comment / updates.

    Kind regards

    Thank you for your suggestion.

We are always interested in hearing from users how we can make using Outlook and SharePoint easier.

    Hi Robert,

This feature has not been deprecated.

Are you able to confirm whether you have set your own view name?

Was the config.xml retained in the upgrade feature?

If this was set via a config_update.xml it might be worth running this again.

    Hi Nadine

Thanks for your inquiry. As you have suggested you can drive the content view and also drive the folder view.

The name of the view can be anything that is relevant to your environment. This then needs to be applied in config_update.xml as per Example 2 on page 49, of the Administration Guide.

To drive the folder content view - you can create a filter on particular folders, and set the parameter "navigationTreeFolder" to display the folder with this filter.

The following KB may be of assistance in filtering the document sets presented to users: http://www.scinaptic.com/support/0118.html

Please feel free to get in contact should you have further queries

    Hi Joshua

Thanks for this, yes this would work for an email that is in Outlook.

Can you please try these steps

    1. Open the library with Windows Explorer or sync with OneDrive

    2. Drag and drop the emails into a subfolder into Outlook.

    3. From the subfolder in Outlook, drag/drop back to the document library. This will populate the columns in your library.

Please let us know if you have any further issues.

    Thanks for your inquiry.

This is correct, you do need to save the emails into a library where there are email columns added.

Are you able to confirm whether these libraries have an email content type, or email columns added to them?

    Hi Murray

    Thank you for your inquiry.

This has been modified in our later releases of OnePlaceMail. Alternatively, you can create a config_update.xml file to modify this behaviour.

We recommend upgrading to the most recent release, R7.3, to take advantage of our enhancements and new features.

Please refer to the following link for example regex:
